Tom visited the Green Mill last night, for some entertainment by the house band, and maybe a Blue Moon on tap... well, more than maybe :)
Within A half hour of appearing, Delighted to hear a request for some Gordon Lightfoot, and with a smile and an open hand John invites Tom to the stage... John has a knack for attracting his fellow musicians to his shows, and there is never a break in the entertainment. While Tony and Frank took in a quick snack from the bar, A mini-tribute to Gordon Lightfoot featuring Carefree Highway, the all important memorial to the Sailors of the Edmund FitzGerald, and another, brought a nice round of appreciative applause from a full bar.
The Green Mill hosts their House Band ever thursday. Featuring music we all can sing along to, and they throw in some great bluesy numbers perfect for the electric guitar and harmonica. Appetizers and Taps are half-price before 7 and after 9, and there's no cover, it's definitely a value.
Guest Musicians pop up all the time, and you knever know what to expect.
I fully intend to return for more, as it was promised that John and tom would play "Last Dance With Mary Jane," again.
See you soon

Town Pump Surprise Party
Tom's been invited to play for Paul, the delightful owner of the Town Pump, here in chippewa. Music will start at 4pm Saturday. Paul doesn't know, yet, so don't tell him! :)
The Town Pump has been a standard of Old time Wisconsin Taverns for many years. Paul has been running the place for 20 plus years, and has a loyal following of customers in and out of state. it's on a number of vacation "must stop" lists, and on ours.
Its a great honor to be part of brining live music back to the Pump, and Paul's party will be fabulous. Feel free to bring a dish, and come thirsty.
Most of all, come to show your appreciation to a man who has kept the old pub tradition alive for us to enjoy.
